  1. THINGS THAT ARE WORTH DOING, ARE WORTH DOING EVEN WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING.
ANNUAL MONUMENT TO MARTA BECKET, 2016
    Photographs, choreography

At 13:01 GMT on 9 August of every year, you are invited to perform a miniature ballet "Moving Rocks".
The date and time of the performance corresponds to Marta Becket's birthday at the time of sunrise in Death Valley Junction, USA.

The ballet is inspired by two extraordinary phenomena: 'sailing stones' – a geological occurrence observed in Death Valley, where rocks move
across the desert floor without human or animal intervention; and Marta Becket – ballerina, choreographer, painter and actress, who established
and performed at the Amargosa Opera House, Death Valley Junction (population < 20) for over 40 years.
In 1970, she was discovered by National Geographic photographer performing ballet in a completely empty theatre.
